Course Description:
Meeting Planning Boot Camp is a comprehensive course designed for individuals who plan or coordinates special events and meetings or have responsibilities for guest room accommodations for their company. This 1.5 day course is customized to your planning department. Once a course is booked, we will send over an extensive questionnaire to determine your departments planning experience and challenges. A customized schedule will be developed to focus on your needs.
Each course must have a minimum of 3 attendees.

Participants will learn:
How to use personal skills to manage workers
How to make the right impression with clients and close deals

Participants will learn:

How to outline a plan
What to include and how to communicate it
Time Management/Organizational Skills
Participants will learn:
How to organize your planning and office to save money and time
What paperwork to keep and what to get rid of
How to file historical documents
Customized Boot Camp Fees:
$4,500 flat fee for up to 20 attendees. Call for prices above 25 attendees
Pre and Post Workshops $500 each class for up to 20 attendees. Fee includes: Training, book and CD of forms
Continuing Education Units (CEUs):
One CEU is awarded for each 10 hours of instruction. Meeting Planning Boot Camp provides 14.5 hours of classroom instruction, or 1.45 CEUs. Pre-workshop provides .2 CEUs and Post-workshops provides .1-.2 CEUs.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Develop the skills to plan, organize and produce a meeting.
2. Define terminology, as related to the meetings industry.
3. Write and submit a strong Request for Proposal (RFP).
4. Identify and recognize different departments in a hotel, and learn to negotiate with each.
5. Recognize the value in partnerships with Convention and Visitor Bureaus.
